Olds College Welcomes Mara-Lee Moroz as New Chief People & Culture Officer

Olds College proudly announces the appointment of Mara-Lee Moroz as the institution's new Chief People & Culture Officer, effective February 1, 2024.

With 25 years of dedicated experience in human resources within the post-secondary education sector, Moroz brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. Her tenure at Red Deer Polytechnic since October 2008, coupled with earlier significant roles at Olds College as Senior Development Officer and Human Resources Manager, showcases her commitment to fostering excellence in her communities and educational institutions.

A long-time active resident of the town of Olds, Moroz's local ties align with the college’s commitment to enriching its local community and contributing to its vibrant spirit.

Olds College President Dr. Ben Cecil remarked, "We warmly welcome Mara-Lee Moroz to Olds College. Her extensive experience and local ties will undoubtedly enrich our team and further our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace culture."

Cecil also expressed gratitude to Melissa Maschke, the Interim Director of People & Culture, and the entire P & C department for their outstanding service during this transition period.

Moroz's appointment signifies a new chapter for Olds College's People & Culture department, promising stability, strength, and a deep understanding of the institution's ethos.
