“The clinic helps really understand the fundamentals of how a combine works and everything related to harvest optimization,” said Marcel Kringe, Founder & CEO, Bushel Plus. “We’re not pitching one combine colour over the other. We’re not pitching our product. It’s really about, ‘how is a header supposed to function so it’s the best value on the farm? How is a combine supposed to work the best possible way?’”
Four different types of combines were featured at the event, and Kringe says it’s the first time they have hosted a clinic this big. Those in attendance engaged in discussions on headers, machine calibration and other topics.
Meanwhile, Bushel Plus is a familiar name at Olds College as the Manitoba-based company has partnered with researchers over the years on several innovative projects.
“Olds College is great to do on-farm research with! You get neutral feedback and reports back,” said Kringe. “We’ve done research with Olds College on the SmartPan System to make sure we get a good understanding of how it works in the field. We’ve also been working with them on different types of loss measurements over the years. It’s been great to work with the research team at Olds College.”
