Olds College of Agriculture & Technology has been preparing students for careers in reclamation and remediation, environmental stewardship and land use planning for more than 35 years through its Land & Water Resources program. Olds College, like many post-secondary institutions in the country, is facing challenges due to recent changes by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that significantly reduces international student enrolment and due to a decline of operational grant funding from the provincial government in the last several years. The College projects an approximate $5.1M loss of student tuition revenue for the College’s 2025-26 budget.

All three Animal Health programs will now have three intakes per year (fall, winter and spring). This change increases enrolment capacity while giving students from each program the opportunity to work together, fostering a collaborative learning environment across all three programs.
