That’s a Wrap! Summer youth camps bring big energy to Olds College

August 28, 2026

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology was buzzing with energy, inspiration and bright futures this summer! The campus proudly hosted multiple vibrant youth camps, giving ambitious teens a thrilling head start on their dream careers. From exploration into large and small animal veterinary medicine to hands-on small engine mechanics, these eager learners tackled a dynamic range of real-world skills.

The Industry Training & Continuing Education (ITCE) department was thrilled to welcome 79 students throughout the summer — with passionate participants travelling from near and far, including students coming all the way from Manitoba. Some students even chose to stay on campus in residence at Centennial Village and “dipped their toes” into Olds College Campus Living.

"My teen had an exceptional experience and is incredibly excited to continue exploring this field. Every day, she came home enthusiastic about what she had learned and experienced. The breadth of topics covered, combined with the valuable hands-on learning opportunities, was truly impressive. Thank you for providing such a meaningful and engaging experience. Job well done!"

“It was a very good course, and I learned a lot. It was structured well, and the hands-on portion was very helpful. The instructors were very friendly and fun to be around, and taught the class well while making it an engaging and entertaining experience”
