Stump Treatment Pesticide Certificate Tutorial

Get certified to apply herbicides to stumps with specialized training for tree workers.

The Stump Treatment Pesticide Certificate is required for individuals applying herbicides to stumps and is available only to those with a Utility Tree worker or Utility Tree Trimmer Certificate. See www.pvma.ca/UTTUTW for details.

Program Dates: April 15, 2026 — 5:30-7:30 p.m. (exam to follow) 

Costs: $200+GST

Does not include certification fee with Professional Vegetation Management Association in Alberta. See www.pvma.ca if you need certification.

Credentials: Certification with Professional Vegetation Management Association in Alberta and Alberta Environment Pesticide Applicator Certification

Delivery Method: Online, live-lecture.

Admission Requirements: Utility Tree Worker/Utility Tree Trimmer certificate

The Stump Treatment tutorial and exam are optional for Utility Tee Workers/Utility Tree Trimmers. The sessions take place in the evening during the Utility Tree Worker/Utility Tree Trimmer Safety Course.

Please Note: Students will need their own computer with internet access, microphone and a web camera for the online Virtual classes and exams.
