Throughout the Cannabis Plant Harvest Badge, students will demonstrate competence by reviewing the qualities necessary for differentiating viable versus non-viable Cannabis products. Students will determine attributes of both hand and machine harvesting and processing including pre-packaging processes such as drying, curing and extraction of key ingredients.

This badge includes the following microcredentials:

Viable and Non-viable Cannabis Products

In this microcredential, students will describe the necessities in post-harvest processing for maintenance of Cannabis product quality. 

Pruning, Hand-harvesting and Power Trimmer Methods

In this microcredential, students will assess the requirements for pruning during the growth cycle to optimize Cannabis production in addition to comparing hand versus power trimmer methods after harvest.

Drying, Curing & Extracting

Throughout the Drying, Curing & Extracting microcredential, students will determine the requirements for appropriate handling processes that include drying and curing. Students will also review the criteria or production of different extraction products that are generated from the harvested Cannabis plant.
