Students will be able to describe and explain the criteria associated with the selection of an appropriate site for a crop production facility. Students will also describe the differences between crop production structures and the components used to configure the environment within.

This microcredential focuses on facility site and selection factors.  Students will name and examine the main site considerations that are important in locating a growing facility.

Structures & Structural Components

In this microcredential, students will describe the differences between individual growing facilities and the associated interior structural components that are suited for growing specific crops.

Growing Environment Management

In this microcredential, students will assess the environmental determinants requiring management and that are essential for culturing a successful greenhouse/warehouse crop.

Structural Fixtures & Fittings

This microcredential explores structural fixtures and fittings. Students will describe supplementation of various growing inputs including heating, lighting and irrigation that are required to culture a crop to completion.
