Printing in the Learning Commons (Library)

The default printer on Learning Commons computers is set to "Follow-Me-Print". This allows you to pick up your print jobs at either of the printers in the Learning Commons by swiping your Student ID card through the card reader. The job will not be released until you swipe your card or manually log in using your Student ID Number and Computer Password (click on the keyboard to enter). If you forget to release the job it will drop off the pending list and refund your account.

When you sign onto the computers in the Learning Commons the printers are automatically set to print in gray scale and double-sided. If you wish to print a document in colour or change it single sided you need to do this in the "Printer Properties" (in blue hyperlink text) option that appears when you choose to print.

  • The following menu will pop-up and you will select 1-sided and auto-colour.
