“We are very excited to welcome Mr. Steeves to our leadership team,” comments Debbie Thompson, Vice-President, Academic & Student Experience. “As we continue to launch new programs, such as our Digital Agriculture Degree, and grow our student population we need strong leaders like Mr. Steeves who bring both experience and expertise in the education sector.”
The Werklund School of Agriculture Technology offers programs in agriculture, agriculture technology, and land and environment studies. In August, the College announced the approval of a new Bachelor of Digital Agriculture Degree; the first baccalaureate degree to be offered by Olds College of Agriculture & Technology.
"I am very excited to be joining such a progressive organization with a focus on agriculture and technology,” comments Jay Steeves, Dean, Werklund School of Agriculture Technology. “I believe the potential for growth and innovation in all programs at Olds College is limitless and I look forward to continuing the great work of the Werklund School of Agriculture Technology. Olds College continues to be a leading institution in partnering with industry as a living lab and I am elated to join this team."
Steeves officially joins the College on Sept. 26, 2022. He holds a Master of Education Degree specializing in Educational Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Creative Collaboration and Design Thinking, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
