Last week ABIE hosted Alberta’s post-secondary institutions and a large and strategic delegation from the Philippines to identify areas of opportunity, recognizing the importance of preparing our graduates for a competitive and internationalized workforce.

As leaders we recognize the need to learn and grow with each other, and look forward to advancing conversations around mobility and partnerships.”

Delegates participated in structured B2B meetings with Alberta post-secondary institutions, designed to foster meaningful dialogue around student mobility, joint research, and academic exchange.

"This was a fantastic opportunity for Filipino institutions to explore collaboration with post-secondary institutions in Alberta. I see that the potential collaboration can happen as early as this August," said the President of Romblon State University.

The day concluded with a guided tour of the Olds College Smart Farm, showcasing the College’s leadership in ag-tech innovation and applied research. Delegates explored how Olds College is transforming the agriculture sector through data-driven decision-making and partnerships with industry.

Olds College was honoured to act as host and looks forward to continued conversations with our visiting partners from the Philippines and across Alberta.
