Camp Overview

Each day kicks off with a quick classroom intro, then you’ll head outdoors for hands-on discovery.

  • Decode the field learn to spot crops, weeds, insects and diseases common in Western Canada.
  • Scout like a pro – check crop health, sample soils and detect pests, just like agronomists.
  • Test the dirt measure soil pH, texture, nutrients and organic matter to see what helps crops thrive.
  • Ag tech preview – experience live demos of GPS tools, digital imaging and field-mapping tech.
  • Explore crop science – learn how weather, biology, soil and farming practices affect yield, quality and sustainability.
  • Farm tech showcase – see cutting-edge equipment for seeding, spraying and harvesting.

By the end of camp, you’ll put everything you’ve learned into a pro-level Field Scouting Report—your first step into the world of agronomy!

Requirements

  • This is an outdoor camp, rain or shine—please come prepared with clothing and shoes for all kinds of summer weather.
