Camp Overview

Each day kicks off with a quick classroom session, then dive into interactive, hand-on activities.

  • Animal insights – explore horses, cattle and the science behind their health and care.
  • Learn the inside scoop – examine ruminant digestive systems, herd health and first-aid essentials.
  • Diagnostic tools preview – introduction to diagnostic techniques and equipment used in the health management of large animals.
  • Explore career paths – learn what it takes to become a veterinarian working with large animals, from school to practice.

By the end of the camp, you’ll have practical skills, career insights and stories to share—plus the confidence to see if veterinary medicine is your calling.

Requirements

  • All students are required to wear closed-toed shoes; no sandals or open-toe shoes are permitted.
