Gilberto coordinates the day-to-day operations of applied research projects, including developing protocols, scheduling activities and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, he performs field tests, installs and manages sensors and devices for data collection and contributes to Smart Farm initiatives. Gilberto enjoys working with his colleagues on the Smart Farm and loves learning something new everyday within his role.
Gilberto graduated from Olds College in 2025 with a diploma in Agriculture Management. Additionally, Gilberto holds a masters and PhD in Integrated Dental Sciences in Brazil. When Gilberto isn’t working, he enjoys playing tennis and pool.
