Lori Tyler BA

Research Accounting Clerk

Bio

As the Accounting Clerk for Research, Lori supports project accounting — allocating income and expenses and entering timecards for various projects. She enjoys the challenge of problem-solving and uncovering the reasons why things don’t balance. With over 30 years of experience in the accounting industry, Lori has developed a strong appreciation for working with numbers and the satisfaction that comes from getting everything just right.

Lori holds a Diploma in Fashion Merchandising from Olds College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a Management minor from the University of Calgary. Lori has also proudly served as the Treasurer on the board of the Nose Creek Valley Museum for the past 10 years.

Outside of work, Lori enjoys reading, quilting and sewing, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family. Her son graduated from Olds College’s Surface Land Agent program in 2015, her daughter is attending the University of Lethbridge and she loves every moment she gets with her two young grandchildren. She and her husband live in Didsbury, where they moved a few years ago from Airdrie to enjoy a slower, more relaxed pace of life.
