Practice Your Elevator Pitch

Review the Career Fair Guide for Students
Take some time to review the Career Fair Guide for Students which will be sent to you before the event. It will be packed with tips on how to approach employers, make a great first impression, and navigate the event.
Ask questions!
Employers want to engage with students. Ask what roles they are looking to fill, what their company culture is like, and how you can apply!
Career Fair is also a great opportunity to learn about organizations; consider asking:
- What are the main soft and technical skills that your organization looks for in a new hire?
- Are there internship or co-op opportunities in this field?
- What kind of relevant 'work/volunteer/extracurricular' experience is considered for employment with your organization?
- Does your organization support internal and external training and development?
- What criteria does your organization use to assess candidates during an interview?
- Are there any professional networking opportunities that you would recommend?
- What advice do you have for college students/graduates regarding their job search?
