Your Field, Your Rates: Lessons from On-Farm Precision Experimentation and What’s ahead for 2026

Dr. Felippe Karp and Daniel Stefner, Olds College

Session Overview

Are your input rates the most profitable for your field? On-Farm Precision Experimentation (OFPE) allows producers to test that question on their own land (and you might be right!).

Dr. Felippe Karp and Daniel Stefner will share results from two years of OFPE trials in Alberta, including what the data show about economically optimal seeding and nitrogen rates (variable and fixed), and walk through what it takes to participate in the upcoming 2026 growing season.
