Olds College and Nufarm announce partnership to drive innovation in Canadian Agriculture

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology and Nufarm Agriculture Inc. have signed an official agreement to collaborate in the research, development, and testing of agriculture technologies and products at the Olds College Smart Farm. This partnership marks the first Nufarm technology development station established in Canada, and a significant milestone in the advancement of commercial scale applied research in support of Canada’s agriculture and food sectors. 

Nufarm is a global leader in crop protection and seed technologies, offering a wide range of crop protection products, seed, and other solutions tailored to the specific needs of farmers based on crop variety and soil zone. The agreement establishes a strategic framework for the development and testing of agriculture technologies, plot trials of chemistry and biological technologies, agronomic training, and applied research projects related to smart agricultural technology. The partnership will power the development of services and products specifically designed for the growing conditions in western Canada through the integration of Olds College's Smart Ag Ecosystem with Nufarm's accelerators.
