Olds College Celebrates Apprenticeship Day

September 23, 2024

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology is thrilled to celebrate Apprenticeship Day on Sept. 23, a day established by the Alberta Government through the Special Days Act in 2022. This important occasion is recognized annually on the fourth Monday of September and highlights the vital role of skilled tradespeople in our economy.

In recognition of Apprenticeship Day, Olds College will welcome a group of local high school students to shadow apprentices for the afternoon, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience hands-on training and gain insight into various trades. To end the day, a BBQ will be hosted for all apprentices to show appreciation for their hard work throughout the day.
