Alberta Turfgrass Research Foundation

The ATRF is a non-profit organization whose directors represent each sector of our turfgrass industry.

Distributing 100% of its profits through membership investment, the foundation fuels operations of the Prairie Turfgrass Research Center at Olds College.

Our ATRF Mission, “To implement applied research, promote and disseminate industry knowledge and results through environmentally sustainable methods of turfgrass management.  To act as a liaison between the turfgrass industry and applied research, and conduct fundraising activities for the research Center.

This year, the ATRF will propose 2-3 industry projects on your behalf, generated by those diverse branches of Turfgrass industry which it represents. As members of the Foundation, your input drives relevant research projects which continue to provide solutions for industry challenges.

Consulting Services

The Alberta Turfgrass Research Foundation (ATRF) provides  discounted consulting services to its members. The service provides a full evaluation of turfgrass problems through an on-site visit, problem analysis and a final written report. The Foundation also provides disease diagnosis,  and on-call assistance with 24hr turnaround. Disease and/or soil samples may be submitted online.
