  • You may submit the T2202 as received even if the program is not the last program that you attended.
  • The total amount of fees paid may not necessarily correspond to your T2202 because not all of your tuition fees are tax deductible. Also, the T2202 is based on the tax year (January - December), not the academic school year. It may also result from enrolment in a course that extends into another calendar year. The tax form contains the portion of your tuition fee for the months enrolled in the applicable tax year.
  • You may submit the T2202 as received even if the address is incorrect.
  • The tuition for work integrated learning courses (eg. Directed Field Study, Work Experience, Field School, Field Study, Practicum, Internships) qualifies for eligible tuition and has been included on your form, but as per Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) rules these courses do not qualify for full-time or part-time months.
  • The SIN box will remain blank on the T2202 form, with your SIN being provided electronically to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). If you have not already provided your SIN to Olds College, click on the Social Insurance Number option under the Personal Information tab. If no surveys are available at this time then you have already provided your SIN to Olds College.
  • Questions regarding the use of the T2202 form in the tax preparation process should be directed to your personal tax representative or Revenue Canada.  Revenue Canada also publishes a booklet called "Students & Income Tax" - Government form P105.
