Drone Flight School

Take your drone skills to new heights with hands-on training and data processing.

Drone Flight School will give drone enthusiasts practical experience in planning mapping missions, flying drones outside, downloading data and completing initial processing of drone data in a computer lab. It is encouraged to bring your own drone but drones are provided from the college for this learning. Students must bring proof of their basic pilot certification to this course. No prior drone flight experience is necessary.

Costs:  $699 + GST

Prerequisite: Drone Pilot Certificate – Basic Operations (Basic Operations Exam)

The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG) helps employers cover the cost of eligible training — including programs like this one — to enhance productivity and strengthen workforce skills for today’s fast-changing economy.

With funding from the Government of Canada through the Workforce Development Agreement, employers can apply on behalf of their employees and receive partial reimbursement for approved training.
