What is the deadline for submitting my application?

Are there prerequisites to apply?
With only 20 spots available, space is limited. Students interested in applying for the summer camp should be entering grades 11-12 and on-track to achieve:
- 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2
- 55% or better in Math 20-1 or 20-2
- 50% or better in Two of Biology 20, Chemistry 20, Physics 20 or Science 20, OR one of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30 or Science 30
What grade level must students be in to apply to the camp?
Successful applicants would ideally be entering grade 11 or 12 in fall 2023, or are set to graduate grade 12 in June 2023.
How will I be notified if I have been accepted?
You will be notified of your application status via email no later than June 30, 2023.
How will applicants be selected to participate?
Applicants will be selected based on their short essay or video, along with meeting the minimum recommended on-track criteria and the endorsement from their school administrator.
Where will my child be sleeping?
Students will be assigned to single private rooms in Centennial Village, Olds Colleges on-campus student residence.
Is there a day camp only option i.e. no overnight stay?
Yes. We recognize that some families may prefer a day camp option. If you wish for your child to forgo the overnight option, please email Clare Janitz, cjanitz@oldscollege.ca upon submitting the application.
What if my child has specific dietary needs?
We recognize that some students may have specific dietary needs. Please indicate any food allergies your child may have in their application form.
How much does the camp cost?
There is no cost for your child to attend the Ag Data Science Camp. Your child will be provided food and accommodation free of charge.
