Introduction to Agriculture

Dates: Begins the 2nd Wednesday of every month

Hours: 10 hours. Students have 2 months to complete

Tuition: $250 + GST

This course has been designed to provide you with a foundation of knowledge about Canada's agriculture. Introduction to Agriculture will provide you with a broad overview of Canadian agriculture and what it has to offer. In Introduction to Agriculture, you will learn about the production practices, equipment and facilities, markets and uses, and gain a national perspective for both livestock and crop production. If you are interested in learning about Canadian agriculture, you have come to the right place!

  • Recognize the diversity of agriculture activities throughout Canada and the global community
  • Describe common livestock production in Canada
  • Describe production practices of common field crops in Canada
  • Examine the diversity of other non-field crops in Canada
