Winter Welcome Month

To welcome our new students and returning students to campus for our winter semester, the month of January will be filled with events, workshops and information sessions to help you get the most out of your Olds College experience.

Daily, January 6 - 17 | Moodle & Google Support

Moodle (What the heck is Moodle?) and Google (What's the fuss about Google?) Suite Walk-Throughs

Daily sessions at noon in the Learning Commons computer lab. Starting on January 6 with a Moodle session, we'll alternate sessions (moodle, then Google, then moodle, etc...) for the first two weeks of the winter term.

Online Orientation

Note: All returning students who are not beginning a new program should follow their schedules and attend classes as usual.

  • This required online orientation provides you with information about services & support on campus, campus housing information, and RESPECT training. All Olds College of Agriculture & Technology students must complete this orientation before their program starts. It doesn’t take long and will provide you with a lot of very helpful information! 

  • Start the International Student Orientation Course before your arrival in Canada, then some modules will be completed after your arrival. If you have any questions, contact International Services.

First Week: What To Do & What To Know 

  • Participate in Welcome Week activities. You can add them to your calendar here!

  • Note: Tuition fees for Winter term courses are due on Jan. 10.

  • Parking at Olds College is limited and purchased on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Apply for parking.

  • Log into MyOldsCollege to view your schedule and ensure your contact information is up-to-date.

  • Buy textbooks, course materials and additional supplies. Visit the campus store in person on Olds College main campus, or avoid line-ups and order your textbooks online.

  • Get your ID Card - your multi-purpose student ID card.  Once your photo has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email and can pick it up at the Learning Resource Centre.

  • Review the Admitted Student Checklist to make sure you’re prepared for the upcoming term!
