OC Pride

OC Pride is the College’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance. It was established in 2019 and is composed of faculty, staff, and students. The vision of the alliance is to build a strong community for those who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and their allies. OC Pride provides educational programming, fun events, social connections, and support networks to in its effort to make our campus safe and inclusive to staff and students of all sexual and gender identities and expressions.

2025 Events & Services

The Rainbow Connection Support Group

Join OC Pride for a snack in a safe space where you can talk about your emotions and circumstances with others who know how you feel and won’t judge or criticize you. These events are moderated by a campus counsellor and provide a great opportunity to meet fellow community members and tap into a support network on campus.

  • Monday, January 13 - 12 p.m. - Library LRC 839

OC Pride Meetings

Our monthly meetings are open to all staff, students, faculty, and community members who would like to make the campus a more inclusive space for people of all sexual and gender identities and expressions. We use these meetings to plan events, organize initiatives, and gather the community’s feedback.

  • Wednesday, January 15 - 12 p.m. - DMP Main Boardroom
  • Wednesday, February 12 - 5 p.m. - Centennial Room
  • Wednesday, March 12 - 12 p.m. - DMP Main Boardroom

Events and Activities

We are always looking to plan fun and educational events on campus. These include movie nights, guest speakers, collaborations with other student clubs, and more.

  • Tuesday, September 24 - Pride Trivia Night in ELC 954/955 - 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Advocacy and Representation

OC Pride also serves as a channel to bring the concerns of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members to college leadership. We will often run surveys regarding issues that impact our community to help amplify your voice.
